Full Time Job
You support Worldwide Technical Operations in the review and analysis of content protection systems and content media workflows of third-party licensees to ensure content protection mechanisms are in compliance with Paramount distribution requirements. You analyze third-party content protection system capabilities and identify issues which may impact the security of Paramount content through hands on technical review and develop detailed impact analysis for Sr. Management. Support ongoing WWTO internal system planning and analysis to ensure continued stability
• You conduct content security architecture reviews of content protection implementations by third-party licensees
• Lead and track technical review requests and provide analysis and metrics to Paramount businesses and senior management
• You research and track vulnerabilities that may impact content protection systems, content workflows, etc.
• Research current and upcoming consumer devices and produce detailed summaries and impact analysis
• You support testing activities of consumer devices to validate content protection implementations and provide feedback to Paramount divisions
• Collaborate with Director, Content Technology Standards on policies and update based on industry trends, content platform reviews and feedback from Paramount business divisions
• Conduct application risk assessments of content systems introduced into WWTO ecosystem in partnership with Viacom Info Security
• Participate in cross-industry consortia and standard-setting bodies (e.g., SMPTE, W3C, MPAA)
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years experience in the entertainment industry with a focus on OTT video distribution, content security (DRM and CAS), media distribution, new technology integration, and advanced/emerging distribution technologies
• You have experience related to audio/video, production, post-production, and broadcast operations
• Experience with leading digital video workflows including ingest, transcoding, package and delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field
Additional Qualifications
• You have implementation of OTT video players utilizing encryption and/or DRM technologies
• Able to resolve problems by utilizing a thorough knowledge of technical systems and an understanding of the technical flow of hardware, software, and internet-based content delivery systems
• Good organizational skills to handle multiple projects
• Good oral and written communication skills to interface effectively with major manufacturers, users of film, audio, and video equipment, Company personnel and Company management
