Overview and Responsibilities
The Manager, Campaign Reporting and Analysis in the Audience Science Group (ASG) will be responsible for media campaign reporting, data aggregation, and analysis for performance marketing initiatives across the Viacom portfolio. The ability to pull and interpret data, provide relevant context, tell a compelling data-led story, and derive actionable learnings and insights will be key to success in this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an inquisitive nature, and high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Strategic Planning, Media Execution, Research, Marketing, and Data Science teams to develop KPIs, reporting methodologies, and models that are aligned to campaign and brand goals
• Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders and serve as the day-to-day reporting lead
• Owning reporting deliverables from start-to-finish, including pre-planning insights, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly data pulls and reporting, and ad hoc analyses as needed
• Effectively present strategic data-driven insights and recommendations across marketing channels to key stakeholders
• Ensure key performance data, including first and third party, is captured across platforms for measurement, analysis, and attribution
• Maintain dashboards for more robust campaign reporting and analytics
• Manage several key outside measurement vendor relationships related to campaign reporting, ensuring all data collection and inputs are QA’d for completeness and accuracy (and proactively troubleshooting and resolving any issues proactively) and collaborating with vendor analytics teams to ensure all deliverables provided are insightful and have tangible learnings and action items
• Anticipate internal clients’ needs and proactively design and implement solutions
• Maintain analytics solutions that process big data quickly, accurately, and at scale
• Attend/participate in relevant media industry events, in-person and/or online
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and analytics role on either in-house/client side or at a media or digital agency with experience in programmatic and social measurement (ie Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, DoubleClick Bid Manager, Tapad, etc.)
• Experience in SQL and/or Python required (R a plus, but not required)
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tool
• Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in media buying platforms (ie Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Google product suite) and site analytics tools (ie Google Analytics, Omniture)
• Ability to communicate effectively and present to cross-functional teams across Viacom – including corporate groups
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Entrepreneurial drive, passion, and natural curiosity to understand digital advertising and media measurement
• Must be comfortable with an ever-changing digital landscape, flexible to evolving business needs
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude, who exhibits a deep passion for data, analytics, and problem solving
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
Additional Qualifications
• A BS degree in a quantitative discipline economics, biostatistics, computer science, or related technical field preferred
• Knowledge and expertise using social media and marketing platforms (ie Sprinklr, Spredfast, Crimson Hexagon) is desired
• Exposure to comparable technology such as Amazon Web Services (EMR and Redshift) is a plus
• Knowledge of working in a big data environment with distributed database or storage systems for distributed processing
• Familiarity with event ticketing platforms (ie Ticketmaster, Frontgate, AXS, Eventbrite, etc.) is a plus
