JOB SUMMARY
The MTV In-house Junior Editor works as part of a team who are responsible for producing a large slate of programming for the MTV channels. The slate is made up of weekly chart shows The Official Chart Update, The Official UK Urban Chart, The Official UK Top 40, The Official UK Top 20 as well as other chart countdowns, hosted presenter shows & music specials including MTV Asks, Making The Video and Tour Diary, as well as new formats in development. This is an exciting role in a vibrant, creative and fast paced environment and will suit someone with a passion for music and youth culture.
We are looking for a great junior editor with a creative eye who can bring fresh ideas and is happy to go the extra mile as and when needed.
Our edits are in house at Hawley Crescent where we also have a brand new studio. This is an exciting opportunity, working with a fun team with lots of room to grow for the right person.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work on all the weekly charts
• Support other editors with hosted programming, music specials and short form pieces for both linear and digital
• Will be required to do audio mix downs
• Will lay down voiceover records
• Speed in our edits is key as we work to tight deadlines
• To be able to work with the show editorial lead as well as on their own
• File Management – organization with media files and naming conventions
• Producing Audio and Visual EDLs for Post Production Paperwork

Skills & Experience:
• Passion for music

• Working knowledge of Avid
• Experience of working with After Effects and Premier would be an advantage
• Great team player who is able to work in an edit suite with a producer as well as having their own initiative when left alone
• Experience as an edit assistant would be desirable
