Global Consumer Insights Intern
JOB SUMMARY
The Intern, Global Consumer Insights will be responsible for supporting the London-based Consumer Insights team. This role’s primary responsibility is to assist in bringing the audience to life throughout Viacom through existing and new research.
In addition to strong analytical and interpersonal skills, this role requires someone who shows an interest and curiosity in learning how to interpret data and consumer research. They must demonstrate the potential ability to see patterns and gather insights about consumers. A candidate with a passion for media is preferred. The role will be based in London.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in gathering and interpreting existing data to identify and understand how people’s media behaviors are changing internationally
• Contribute to the management of international primary research projects on various topics
• Identify, collect and distribute consumer research studies that touch on key topics for the business
• Use tools for sharing Internal information across international offices, including Information Access Network (IAN) Sharepoint, Knowledgehound, Campaign Monitor email system, monitoring Insights mailbox
• Support team with vendor relationships and manage subscription lists and databases
• Help identify and assess future research vendors that may be valuable to the business
• Collaborate with the New York based Consumer Insights team where necessary
• Administrative support as delegated
• Develop and maintain organizational systems for efficiency and accuracy
• Facilitate legal contracts with new and renewing vendors
• Maintain finance records and raise Purchase Orders to facilitate vendor payment and budget accuracy
• Schedule and facilitate meetings (coordinating diaries, booking meeting rooms, preparing materials)

• Qualifications, Skills and Personal Qualities:
• Must have a genuine interest in human behavior and what motivates people, as well as exploring how people use media
• Must be comfortable looking at numbers
• Strong critical thinking skills and a sense of curiosity
• Ability to recognize patterns and themes when analyzing data and other research
• Able to write concisely and compellingly
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and ability to form strong professional and working relationships
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently perform tasks with attention to detail
• Highly organized, responsive, and flexible with ability to work well under pressure
• High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Possesses the ability to be diplomatic with a high level of cultural sensitivity, as well as a high tolerance for ambiguity and change
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills (Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills preferred; some image/graphic design experience a plus)
• Experience working or studying internationally a plus
