Job Title: Design Intern
Department: 5Creative, Channel 5
Reporting to: Head of Design
Location: Camden, London
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months
Start Date: 11th June 2018
Salary: £19,890 per annum
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Do you want to work in an award winning creative department in one of the best television companies in Britain? Creative team of the year, 5 Creative, is looking for a Design Intern to join our in-house team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your first class creativity and design skills whilst gaining experience alongisde our talented Creative team.
In this hands-on role you will support and work across Channel 5 and our digital channels: 5STAR, 5USA, SPIKE and My5. You will design and create artwork for on air, digital, print and social for some of our best-known TV shows including Big Brother, Neighbours and Lip Sync Battle.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Supporting the Design and Creative teams in the production of promotional materials
• Contribute to initial ideation stages for promos and 360 campaigns
• Archive support and file managing
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
• A passion and talent for storytelling, design, motion graphics, typography and layout
• Knowledge, interest and a thirst for the latest design trends
• Interest in social media, digital and off air advertising
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Experience in Cinema 4D is a bonus
• Mac literate
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
• An excellent team player with good relationship building skills
• Comfortable developing ideas in response to a brief
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task with a can do attitude
• An understanding of print/digital formats and deliveries is beneficial
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules
