Overview
We are on the look out for an upbeat HR Assistant with fantastic attention to detail to join a newly built HR team, this is a new and exciting role within the business and will be part of the new UK HR Shared Service function. The HR Shared Service function is responsible for world class employee experience through the efficient execution of processes and specialist support.
Ideally you will have some experience as a HR Assistant (It would be fantastic if this was at another media company, however this isn't essential!), And have previously worked in a shared services environment. You will be forming a new team, so we need people who have excellent people and interpersonal skills, we are a fun bunch who love what we do, so people who share our passion please apply!
Inquiry Services:
• Act as the first point of contact for and prioritise all general HR inquiries
• Drive the usage of employee self-service tools and contribute to their continuous improvement
• Provide HR Transaction support
• Provide user support for HR Tech
Transactions
• Responsible for all key HR transaction processing including new starters and leavers workflows, payroll processing, references and benefit changes
• Maintain holiday and sickness absence records on the HR system accordingly, including calculating any annual adjustments
• Manage HR systems input
• Process HR purchase orders
• Update org charts
• In conjunction with HR Tech, responsible for mass system changes
• Reporting support
Specialist Support
• Escalation for complex HR queries for example relating to employee absences
• Talent Development – Admin support for group development solutions
• Provide admin support in relation to employee relations cases and change programmes including the provision of settlement agreements and note taking
• To conduct exit interviews as required
• To assist with benchmarking
Misc.
• Actively participate in HR projects and initiatives
• Actively contribute to the HR operations transformation, proactively identifying ways for the function to work smarter and provide a better employee experience
• Help to embed the Viacom values throughout the employee lifecycle and act as a cultural ambassador, role-modelling Viacom’s values
What skills do you need
• Solid administrative experience within a fast paced office environment
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Database)
• A desire to build a career within HR and or studying towards your HR qualification
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail are essential
• Experience using PeopleSoft or another HR data base (desirable)
