HR Advisor - Immediate Start 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
What is the role
The HR Advisor, VIMN UK is a key role within the UKNEE HR generalist team. The successful candidate will partner with UK client groups undergoing significant change and transformation. They will deputise for the HRBP and lead and contribute to projects for the cluster (UKNEE).
Act as the first point of contact for all HR enquiries, redirecting them as appropriate to drive employee and manager self service
Confidently and independently advise and guide managers on a range of issues including complex investigation, disciplinary or grievance hearings, flexible working requests, absence and performance issues
Proactively build people management capability across the client group to enable line managers to confidently and autonomously handle people issues
Confidentially and autonomously manage any change activity (structural, cultural or otherwise) across the client group
Provide support to the HRBP in relation to cyclical HR activities such as annual salary review, bonus programmes and benchmarking
Responsible for all recruitment activity for entry – mid level positions
Responsible for freelancer payroll
Work collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence to provide ‘seamless’ people support and advice to the business as necessary including:
Talent Resourcing, Learning & Development and Compensation & Benefits
Actively participate in ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as necessary
Contribute to, drive and embed people solutions for the cluster
Build HR data, analyse trends and proactively recommend actions
Actively contribute to the HR operations transformation, proactively identifying ways for the function to work smarter
Help to embed the Viacom values throughout the employee lifecycle and act as a cultural ambassador, role-modelling Viacom’s values
What skills do you need
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Good employment law knowledge and proven experience managing complex cases and restructures with minimum support
A strong team player with proven experience successfully contributing to virtual teams
Demonstrable experience optimising processes and ways of working
Prior experience working within a creative business
