Engineer- Cloud Services and Support

To provide support through, and development of, the VIMN web hosting platforms in line with VIMN’s hosting strategy and requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To own primary responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance, development, and systems administration of VIMN’s hosting platform, both physical and virtual.
• To deliver against the business strategic objectives that utilise/maximise the overall technology infrastructure as directed.
• To provide a point of escalation for all issues pertaining to the availability, security and performance of all VIMN’s online machines, in both the production and development/QA environment.
• To maintain a technical understanding of the security layers and standards those are appropriate for the risks faced by the business.
• The provision of technical competencies that provide in-depth knowledge for the areas deemed important by the business.
• To deliver against the business strategic objectives that utilise/maximise the overall technology infrastructure as directed.
• To participate in service relationships with third party ISPs and other providers in order to ensure maximum performance and availability for all MTV’s European web properties.
• To provide all support lines as required by the business.
• The delivery of project based activities complying at all times to Project Management standards.
• To provide input and maintenance of technology strategy that, in turn, forms part of the overall Technology strategy.
• To actively own career development ensuring that training and development plans are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualification Requirement

• IT diploma or above

• Computer related Degree
• Formal training in analysis tools and techniques
• AWS certification
