Full Time Job
This position is responsible for providing support to the Worldwide Home Media Publicity team. Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
• Manages mailing and fulfillment of publicity materials, including product for press, cast/crew and media promotions
• Researches and manages orders of promotional items
• Maintains budgets and tracks expenses
• Attends and participates in weekly PR team meetings
• Conducts research as directed and prepares reports for publicity campaigns
• Updates and maintains media lists
• Conducts press outreach to various broadcast and radio outlets
• Monitors newspapers, magazines, industry trade publications, and key online sites, to track coverage, keep current on industry issues and provides summaries/clips for the various teams
• Monitors social media for talent posts relevant to current campaigns and compiles results
• Distributes requests from press outlets to appropriate publicist
• Assists with team and talent travel coordination
• Helps coordinate schedules, reservations and logistics for conferences, trade shows and sales meetings
• Supports event logistics including guest lists, establishment of RSVP line, etc.
• Provides on-site support at publicity events and trade shows as needed
• Provides graphic design as needed (Photoshop experience a plus)
• Inputs invoices into SAP
• Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum one-year previous entertainment publicity experience in a motion picture studio, agency or publicity firm required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet required. SAP proficiency preferred
Additional Qualifications
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance, filing procedures, basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, English usage, and report & letter formats
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, in person, via telephone and email
• Pay close attention to detail, follow written and oral instructions
• Independent follow-through on assignments and provide timely status updates
• Be organized and schedule work effectively
• Work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team spirit are a necessity
• Occasional travel may be required
