Comedy Central UK
Community Producer
Comedy Central UK is looking for an internet-obsessed Community Producer to help grow our presence across social media platforms, build communities around our shows and promote our events. This person will eat, sleep and breathe social media, have a strong understanding of the type of content our audience want to see, and a desire to make people swipe, share and laugh out loud.
The role would suit a digital native with experience in a fast-paced, creative environment - particularly those with a background in social media and entertainment. You will be responsible for monitoring conversation and managing replies where appropriate across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. You know what it takes to have a strong social voice, and you know exactly how to take our tone and make it conversational.
You should have a keen eye for detail and proven success in growing social footprints for digital brands and creating a two-way dialogue with audiences. We’re looking for someone with a unique voice, coupled with a passion for creating, dissecting and consuming all kinds of content.
Key responsibilities:
- Active audience engagement on social platforms, getting involved in relevant conversation throughout the day with a view to increasing engagement, encouraging interaction and creating communities around our shows.
- Creation and execution of digital promotional plans for events across owned platforms.
- Taking ownership of customer service across all social channels.
- Reinforcement of key messaging and query answering.
- Stay on top of social trends to share with the wider team.
- Creation and distribution of assets and social posts for promotion via Comedy Central social platforms.
You are:
- A social media obsessive. With the ability to communicate thoughtfully, expertly, and engagingly across platforms.
- Creative. Constantly able to find new and innovative ways to engage and tell stories to our audience.
- A pop culture junkie. Your day begins online, scanning your phone and the internet to find out what you missed.
- A multi-tasker. Prepared to think on your feet and respond to events quickly, juggle multiple responsibilities, deadlines and personalities in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player. Able to communicate and collaborate with editors and writers across all platforms, video producers, designers, sales and marketing and business development.
- Super organised. A short-term and long-term planner who’s unlikely to panic when something inevitably goes wrong.
- Business aware. Comfortable coming up with creative solutions to tailor content to advertisers.
- A data geek. Comfortable compiling regular reports for the digital team, highlighting top performing posts and reminding the edit team of best practices.
Skills
and experience requirements:
- Social media production and community management.
- Digital production experience - Photoshop and Adobe Premiere skills are a must.
- Highly developed organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Ability to build great working relationships and take direction.
- Experience in event promotion a bonus.
