Contract: 12 Month FTC
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Channel 5 Creative team is an in-house creative agency responsible for creating marketing campaigns for Channel 5, 5 Star, 5 USA, Spike, 5 Select and My5. In addition we work for a range of external clients creating and producing sponsorship content and commercials. We are an end-to-end production department, from creative ideation through to multi channel deliverables.
Reporting into the Head of Production & Operations, the Campaign Producer will take charge of the project management of the on and off-air campaigns, from initial briefing through to final delivery. You will be the ‘go to’ person and key liaison between the Creative team and both internal and external marketing clients.
You will oversee complex and high-end campaigns across a variety of media, facilitating the very highest standards of execution and production values. Always monitoring and working with a sharp eye for detail, colleagues will rely on you to plan and execute clear strategies, budgets and timelines.
Driving processes end-to-end, you are confident, decisive and always ready to face new challenges whilst striving for the best creative output.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Project managing the pre-production, production and delivery of small and large scale integrated marketing campaigns from briefing to completion
• Working alongside the Creative Director, Deputy CD, Head of Design and Head of Production & Operations to assemble the right creative team for each brief
• Acting as the key point of contact for the Marketing Department and Commissioning Editors
• Scoping out and determining the feasibility of producing final creative work in a variety of formats
• Delegating tasks and overseeing production and crew
• Devising timing plans and ensuring that projects stay on schedule and on budget
• Managing key stakeholders on key projects and alerting the right people when planned costs or timings look set to deviate from the original plan
• Project managing budgets and reporting regularly to the Head of Production & Operations
• Liaising with clients and the creative teams to ensure that projects not only run smoothly but to the highest creative output
• Developing relationships and negotiating favourable rates with external suppliers and collaborators
• A full understanding of Risk Assessments, Call sheets, Shooting Documentation, Fact sheets etc.
• Confidently negotiating all contracts and licenses
• Reporting progress of all work, project managing the campaign, including full reconciliations
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
• A passion for TV & Advertising, social platforms and new creative technologies
• A proven track record of delivering award winning work across all media for an agency or in-house creative team
• An expert in TV, digital, print and outdoor media production processes
• A good understanding of APA rates
• A creative eye and the confidence to give opinions
• Excellent organisational skills, being able to manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• A collaborative team player, with the confidence to lead a production team in a fast paced environment
• Can be flexible and adapt quickly to the demands of challenging projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An awareness of current creative trends in film, television and advertising
• Experience of working with creatives in all disciplines. A working knowledge of freelance directors will be advantageous
• An in-depth understanding of both technical and creative processes associated with marketing campaigns
• The ability to motivate a team to deliver high quality work
• A proactive approach to new creative opportunities
• A black book of potential suppliers and creative collaborators
• An enthusiastic approach to liaising with clients
• Experience of talent negotiation preferable
• Ability to multi task and an enthusiasm to keep ahead of new technologies, in filming, post production and channel / social platforms
