Full Time Job
You will be part of the Global Rights Analysis team and be responsible to interpret, analyze, and input data related to legal contracts across all of Viacom Media Networks and Viacom International Media Networks brands. This position reports to Director, Global Rights Analysis Department.
• Work closely with the Viacom Media Networks, Viacom International Media Networks, Business and Legal Affairs departments to interpret, analyze and input data related to legal contracts across all of Viacom Media Networks and Viacom International Media Networks brands
• Support all rights queries including from Viacom Media Networks and Viacom International Media Networks revenue generating business groups such as Advertising Sales, Consumer Products, International Program Sales, Digital and Content Distribution management
• Input data and information pertaining to the rights, restrictions and other provisions contained in locally produced program development and production agreements as well as distribution agreements
• Input all rights information necessary to power WHAT’SOn (WOn) scheduling via Rights Management System
• Perform multiple tasks with shifting of priorities on short notice
• Review legal agreements
• Perform data entry and use multiple databases and computer programs, as well as legal file management
• Create reports as business opportunities necessitate
• Consult with supervising Manager, Global Rights as necessary to interpret deal points
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years Rights Analysis, Contract Management or Paralegal experience
Additional Qualifications
• Paralegal Certificate or other legal degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in a multi-location company a plus.
• Experience preferably in an entertainment law firm or business/legal affairs position at a major studio or network.
