The Legal Assistant will coordinate the execution of business agreements and approvals, tracking documents and other legal and administrative matters. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks, meet deadlines with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:
Performs clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying documents, document preparation, redlining, document distribution
Document preparation, including drafting agreements, legal correspondence and contracts
Case management, involving coordinating all aspects of a case and ensuring appropriate steps are taken in a timely fashion
Assist with managing the office filing system both hard copies and electronically with attention to detail and confidentiality
Summarizing documents and proceedings including depositions, interrogatories and testimony
Ensure legal documents are processed in a timely manner and that various deadlines are met
Performs clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying documents, document preparation, redlining, document distribution, expense report preparation
Requirements:
Prior experience in a business affairs and/or legal office environment supporting executives strongly preferred
Superior proficiency with MS Office and PDF software
Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Sharp written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables
Complete reliability handling confidential information
