COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Valhalla Entertainment
The position will manage the day-to-day press and media related activities for the CEO. In addition to covering administrative tasks, such as scheduling and coordinating speaking engagement travel, this position will be responsible for creating, refining and tracking the internal and external publicity for all of Valhalla Entertainment. Beyond the film and television slate at Valhalla, this job will include tasks related to progressive issues on which the CEO is focused, such as press outreach, meeting scheduling, and creating PowerPoint presentations and overseeing speech writing.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and prioritize daily schedules, and arrange meetings/conference calls in concert with the CEO's Executive Assistant
• Make travel arrangements, both domestically and internationally; book hotels and transportation and create travel itineraries for all speaking related engagements
• Monitor trades and pull relevant news articles on company, shows, and Executives
• Assist with coordinating various media requests and interact with PR Execs at networks and studios regarding projects
• Work press events the CEO is attending, including conferences and red carpet's
• Draft various press materials including press releases, bios, and internal communication documents
• Supervise media coverage and digital press efforts
• Create and implement all social media and website postings. Familiarity with Hootsuite
• Ability to make runs for Executives
• Write and keep episode summaries up-to-date for all series
• Update bio and head shots, as needed
• Manage and track all assets and press that pertain to Valhalla's documentaries, which include MANKILLER, True Whispers, and Choctaw Code Talkers
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge of the Film/TV industry and the media that covers it
• 1-2 years of executive assistant experience in the publicity industry
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations
• Highly organized, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Superior writing and editing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, WordPress
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
