Valencia College is seeking a Professor of Film Production Technology with expertise in cinematography and post-production, to join our dedicated, passionate faculty team as a full-time tenure-track appointment beginning fall 2018.
Valencia College's Film Production Technology programs new facilities opened on August 2017. The School of Arts and Entertainment building includes a sound stage, editing suites, a Dolby Atmos immersive sound mixing stage, and a screening theater with a 4K projector.
We offer an A.S. degree with an intensive curriculum that incorporates workshops and labs with real-world projects. Our unique program partners with professional film and television productions, offering use of our film package: cameras, grip and electric trucks, generator, and facilities. Our students form the production crew, first by attending workshops run by our faculty and staff, and then by working under the guidance of the industry professionals making the motion picture. We've produced forty-nine feature films, many of which have found limited theatrical release and distribution on television, DVD, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.
If you want to play a role in shaping the future of students at one of the largest community colleges in Florida, recognized as one of ''The Great Colleges to Work For'' by The Chronicle of Higher Education, and the inaugural winner of the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, take the first steps by completing and submitting an online application for this position.
