Valence Media is looking for a Network Administrator to architect a reliable and secure data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, and manage all active network equipment to ensure uptime and maximum performance for a rapidly growing media company.
This position will involve working closely with the Senior Network Administrator as well as the IT Vice President to recommend system security enhancements and network improvements.
What you'll do:
• Ensure network security and uptime by maintaining network and server redundancy
• Support, configure and upgrade a growing corporate network
• Ability to set up and configure server and network hardware
• Maintain the company's internal network operations including Meraki wireless controllers, Cisco firewalls, VPN's and switches
• Take ticket escalations from Service Desk for network-related incidents
• Document all aspects of the network including visual diagrams
• Maintain and audit network & file server permissions
• Management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, trusts
• Management of Group Policies Objects
• Perform Network/System Monitoring
• Support and administer VM's
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency)
• Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements or upgrades
Your experience and skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field preferred but not required
• Proven experience in a Network Administrator role
• 3 years of hands-on experience in networking, router and switch configuration
• Working knowledge of network diagnostic utilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for server and network infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, VPN's, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
• Strong troubleshooting experience of Cisco ASA, routers, switches and Meraki Aps
• Operational knowledge of security concepts using stateful packet filtering, access lists
and firewalls
• Solid understanding and operation of STP, VRRP, VLAN, LACP, VOIP, IPSEC and NAT
• Experience working with configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of
• Site-to-Site Tunnels and Cisco AnyConnect VPN
• Excellence in organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
• Experience with GSuite, Webex, VOIP and other SaaS solutions highly desirable
• Experience with Windows Server and desktop management
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Available to work after hours and weekends as needed
• CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred
