Warehouse Technician
David Saxe Productions is looking for a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Technician (general laborer) to help with everyday warehouse duties to include; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, auto mechanic, flooring specialist, metal/welding fabrication. organizing, sorting, labeling and maintaining of all props, scenic designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect and store all warehouse stock.
• Sorting, labeling, organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Take inventories.
• Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Maintain records of tasks completed.
• Load trucks for deliveries.
• Perform minor repairs on furniture and/or equipment.
• Perform related tasks as required.
• Perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
• Ability to operate forklift and common warehouse equipment.
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating.
Requirements:
• General knowledge of inventory practices
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to operate forklift and common warehouse equipment
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Additional knowledge/skills in any of the following:
o Carpentry - Build, repair, and knowledge of all carpentry tools.
o Welding - Knowledge of welding/metal fabrications.
o Plumbing - Knowledge of plumbing maintenance and repair.
o Electrical - Able to perform maintenance, installations, and follow safety codes.
o Auto Mechanic - Able to perform regular maintenance on company vehicles.
Educations & Experience:
• Graduation from high school.
• At least two years of warehouse experience.
Physical Requirements:
• Working environment is fast paced.
• Standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling; ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Special Requirements:
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• DMV driving record printout from within the last 30 days.
• Must have a clean DMV record.
