Description
As a Purchasing Coordinator you will identify cost reducing opportunities through supplier analysis, development, negotiation, bidding and strategic sourcing development to maximize the value proposition to the Company.
Responsibilities
• Completes the bids, purchase orders and receiving of supplies for the departments.
• Follows purchasing and requisition guidelines for all orders.
• Meets all vendors purchase order submittal dates & times to receive orders when required.
• Researches suppliers and costs for all departmental needs.
• Ensures quality service and best available price on goods and services in an ethical manner without compromising quality.
• Assists with periodic manual inventory counts and adjust in computer inventory.
• Ensures accurate departmental coding of internal invoices.
• Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
• Must be able to stand on the dock when needed to verify quality of incoming food deliveries or damages
Qualifications
• 5+ years' experience required; including but not limited to procurement sourcing, raw materials, finished goods, services buying, accounting, contract negotiations, logistics and finance
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Sound judgement and the ability to make logical decisions
• The ability to collaborate across multiple departments
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
Physical Qualifications
• Working environment is fast paced.
• Frequent sitting throughout the work shift
• Position requires repetitive use of arms for answering busy phones and typing.
