Job Summary:
Manage a finance team in working with operational leaders to better operate and grow the LHMSE businesses. Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial statements and operational reports.
Primary Duties:
• Review monthly financial statements and supplemental management reports
• Oversee the close process and close checklists
• Coordinate various audits and ensure audit workpapers and PBC schedules are prepared timely
• Direct League audits and comply with League reporting standards
• Manage the business planning process for multiple entities
• Prepare analysis and KPI's for the entity and department heads
• Collaborate within the finance team as well as cross-functionally with various business units
• Liaise with financial reporting team on new opportunities for operational improvements
• Mentor interns and other junior finance team members
• Design skill accumulation opportunities for finance team members
• Set objectives with measurable goals along with steps for achievement
• Ensure the improvement of processes and documentation
• Collaborate with other departments on designing and building operational reports
• Support partner resources with ensuring accurate capture of data into a variety of systems
• Work closely with entity and department leaders on all group allocations
• Coordinate with management company regarding tax, treasury, and capital/dividend requests
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's Degree in Accounting or MBA
• CPA required
• Great communication skills
• Professional sports team or league experience preferred
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
• Organized and detail oriented
• Minimum of 5 years experience in progressive roles in industry or public accounting
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting, ticketing, and CRM software
• Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
• The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
