USA Baseball Multimedia Specialist
All USA Baseball employees will operate under a remote work plan for the 2021 season. All employees will be expected to work remotely during business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET, unless otherwise scheduled by your supervisor or during USA Baseball sanctioned events. If assigned to work an event, employees will work on-site at an assigned facility. USA Baseball will implement strict COVID-19 guidelines for all events in 2021 in order to protect the long-term health and safety for its employees and participants.
Position Reports To: Kevin Jones, Director of Creative Services
Position Background: USA Baseball is seeking a full-time multimedia specialist to help create and execute USA Baseball's multimedia plan and is responsible for showcasing the brand of our nation's pastime through the creation of feature videos, graphic packages, and other projects to elevate the USA Baseball's digital presence. The Multimedia Specialist will report to the Director of Creative Services.
About You:
The ideal candidate a detail-oriented creative who is passionate about creating unique and captivating content while adhering to deadlines. He or she seeks out new techniques to deliver fresh and innovative content to the fans of USA Baseball and impact the brand in a positive way. The Multimedia Specialist should be comfortable will both still photography and videography, while having a creative mind and an eye for great design. Additionally, this person should be an excellent communicator, open to constructive criticism, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Position Responsibilities:
• Create video content for USA Baseball as dictated in its yearly media plan-including feature videos, interviews, promotional videos, commercials, and social media content
• Creation of graphic design content as needed, including social media graphics, print marketing material, logo and branding design
• Shoot, edit and publish video packages for USA Baseball events, national teams and initiatives in the offseason and on-site domestically and internationally
• Perform regular maintenance of video content on USABaseball.com and the organization's YouTube page
• Oversee seasonal interns to assist with the implementation of the USA Baseball creative needs
• Assistance with other creative needs as needed
• Support the USA Baseball national teams, national team development programs, events and initiatives with the implementation of their strategic plans
Qualifications:
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Premiere
• Creative mind with an ability to contribute ideas to content creation plans and to execute those plans in cooperation with the organization's media strategy
• Advanced knowledge of operating full-frame cameras, including Canon and Sony DSLRs
• Must have an excellent attitude and work well in a team setting
• Needs to be able to work flexible and adaptable schedule for changing organizational needs
• Willingness to travel to events throughout the U.S. and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-to-3 years of multimedia services experience
• Passionate about baseball with an understanding of the amateur baseball landscape
• Ability to work in both a Mac and PC environment
• Proficiency in sports photography and videography
• Proficiency in graphic design, including a strong understanding of typography and composition
Required Education:
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
