Job Description:
The Multimedia Specialist will report to the Director of Creative Services and the Director of Media Relations and supervise one to two interns annually. This position helps execute USA Baseball's multimedia plan and is responsible for showcasing the brand of our nation's pastime through the creation of feature videos, graphic packages, and other projects to elevate USA Baseball's digital presence.
About You:
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented creative who is passionate about creating unique and captivating content while adhering to deadlines. He or she seeks out new techniques to deliver fresh and innovative content to the fans of USA Baseball and impact the brand in a positive way. The Multimedia Specialist should be an excellent communicator, open to constructive criticism, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Content creation for USA Baseball as dictated in its yearly media plan-including feature videos, interviews, promotional videos, commercials, and social content.
• Manage video operations at key events at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C., domestically and internationally.
• Regular maintenance of video content on USABaseball.com and the organization's YouTube page.
• Creation of annual motion graphics packages for national team and event uses, and other unique motion graphics as needed.
• Assistance with other creative needs as needed.
Desired Skills
& Experience:
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Cinema 4D.
• Advanced knowledge of operating high-definition video camera systems, including Sony and DSLR cameras.
• Advanced knowledge of controlling exposure, framing, and audio while shooting video both in the field and in controlled environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Must have an excellent attitude and work well in a team setting
• Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing organizational needs
• Willingness to travel to events throughout the U.S. and international competitions
• Support the USA Baseball national team and national team development programs with the implementation of their strategic plans for identification
• Mentor seasonal coordinators on working in sports and for a non-profit organization
• Vision to see new revenue opportunities through both current and new events
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-to-3 years of multimedia services experience
• Understanding of the budgeting process and responsibility for profit and loss
• Passionate about baseball with an understanding of the amateur baseball landscape
• Ability to work in both a Mac and PC environment
• Proficiency in sports videography
• Proficiency in graphic design, including a strong understanding of typography and composition.
Required Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, Video Production, or similar is required.
Salary:
• Salary commensurate on experience
