Description
Role: Video Scout
Universal is looking for a candidate obsessed with internet and youth culture. We are an agile team and any candidates will be expected to wear multiple hats and have a diverse skill set and be good at solving problems. Ideal candidates will have a firm understanding of the associated rights which surround working with user-generated video assets and be able to work under strict deadlines with impeccable organization skills and target driven.
Responsibilities
• Watch online videos to search for content that has the potential to go viral and meets a set of requirements.
• Evaluate user created videos and curate a selection to pitch to internal labels and stake holders
• Hand off daily tasks and communicate effectively in a team setting.
Requirements
• Thorough understanding of media/pop culture/internet trends and viewer preferences.
• Strong internet research skills. Familiarity with all video/social media platforms and a strong knowledge of how to best navigate them. (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, Snapchat, etc.)
• Candidates must be able to work under strict deadlines
• A proven track record in a similar role.
• Impeccable organisational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
