The A Side: A Day in The Life
Abbey Road Institute is an educational initiative from Abbey Road Studios. The Institute offers an Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering to aspiring producers, musicians and engineers. The Institute is a joint venture between Universal Music Group and outside investors. We have schools in London (at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios), Melbourne, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Berlin. As a growing business our goal is to open new schools globally in the coming years.

Reporting to the Campus Manager, the primary role of the Student Administrator is to organise and administer the process of recruiting students to the Institute and provide administrative support throughout a student’s programme. They are the first point-of contact for all enquirers to the Institute, students and academic staff and must providing a high-quality service at all times.
The person in this role will also provide support for marketing activities. This will include assisting with recruitment events, delivering the Institute’s digital marketing strategy and helping to organise alumni activity. Abbey Road Institute is a global business with a growing network of campuses around the globe. Our head office is in London and this role will include providing occasional administrative support to the Global team.

The B Side: Skills and Experience
Be operational
• Provide a high-quality of customer service to all enquirers, students, staff and visitors, delivered with friendly diplomacy, tact and confidentiality
• Assist the Campus Manager with tours of the Institute
• Learn the key elements of the Institute’s courses and student experience to be able to communicate this information to external audiences and answer detailed questions
• Be proactive in understanding and empathising with student issues
• Ensure a positive student experience by providing a welcoming and supportive environment at all times
• Liaise with the Abbey Road Studios’ booking team to support commercial studio hire
Be administrative
• Respond promptly and accurately to prospective student and student enquiries, face-to-face and by email
• Maintain accurate student records on all relevant databases and analyse information where appropriate
• Support the organisation of student-related and recruitment events such as Open Days, Induction and Graduation
• Proactively follow up with enquirers to the Institute using the most appropriate method of communication, e.g. phone, email, in person, through social media etc.
• Provide administrative support to Institute management
• Contribute to social media content for ARI London across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to engage with students, building and maintaining close links to improve student engagement, satisfaction and success
• Support regular marketing activities such as monthly newsletters and writing content for the web such as staff/alumni profiles
• When required, provide reports to management in a timely manner
• Make effective use of social media to engage with students, building and maintaining close links to improve student engagement, satisfaction and success
• Ensure recruitment related information on the Institute website is accurate and take responsibility to communicate any required changes as soon as possible
• Provide administrative support to Institute management and prepare agendas and transcribe minutes as requested and when required
• Assist the Campus Manager to implement School policies and procedures
• Undertake visa administration duties, monitoring and reporting

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer relations (ideally in a student related role)
• Demonstrated experience in an equivalent role
• High school qualifications or diploma
• Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
• Experience in a multicultural environment
• Problem-solving skills
• High degree of computer literacy
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy with administrative tasks
Experience
• Direct experience in the provision of high-quality customer service, including face-to-face services (Essential)
