Description
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and personable senior eCommerce technical administrator to provide expertise and coaching in all eCommerce related issues and inquiries. The Administrator will be responsible for training and supporting store managers and designers/developers, providing solutions and technical oversight for improvements to eCommerce systems, and troubleshooting all aspects of our Magento application in production critical environments. The position requires experience and skills in, among other things, training teams in usage of eCommerce platforms, implementing and maintaining large scale Magento based operations, evaluating user/customer needs and defining solutions, and a deep understanding of all aspects of online store design, build, and run life cycles.
Job Functions:
• Demonstrate full proficiency in the practical usage of the eCommerce platform
• Work with global teams to define, solution, design, integrate, test, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot all aspects of the eCommerce platform.
• Expert resource and coach for all commerce related technical operations
• Refine, document and train teams in usage of the platform
• Implement and maintain Magento development standards and best practices
• Perform team code reviews and provide technical oversight
• Actively troubleshoot Magento production application under pressure and define a path to resolve them
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Demonstrate full proficiency in the practical usage of the eCommerce platform
• Proven ability to understand business requirement and define pragmatic technical solutions to achieve outcome.
• Working knowledge of Magento 2x front end design standards and data structures
• Strong MySQL skills an advantage
• Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels
• Ability to work with minimal direction with a focus on customer satisfaction
• In-depth knowledge of PCI compliance and other eCommerce industry topics a plus
• Knowledge of optimization, caching, and scaling techniques
• Demonstrable understanding of basic internet concepts such as: domain registration, DNS, DMZ, Router, Firewall, Ports, Load Balancing, DNS
Experience:
• 5-6 years of experience implementing and operating large scale, Magento based operations
• Experience with Magento 1.x a must, 2.x preferred
• Experience with multi-website, store view deployment
• PIM, OMS and WMS experience a plus
• Experience implementation and management of online payment gateways (e.g., Braintree, PayPal, Worldpay)
• Experience working with the following technologies: Javascript (Prototype and JQuery), XML, JSON, SQL, PHP, CSS2, CSS3
• Understanding and some experience with OOP PHP
• Prior consulting and project management experience an advantage
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms a plus
• Familiarity web analytics techniques (page tagging, path analysis, custom campaigns)
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
