Job title: Partnerships Manager
Responsible to: Head of Partnerships
Department: Abbey Road Studios
Location of Work: Abbey Road Studios
Main Purpose of Role:
Abbey Road Studios is the world’s most famous recording facility, with an 87-year history of landmark recordings. We work with a select portfolio of brand partners to create long-term strategic relationships and unique activations, with the aim of supporting and developing our mutual strategies through music-based storytelling. We are looking for a Partnerships Manager in a role with considerable potential for growth, primarily focused on supporting the team in the management of existing partnerships and development of new opportunities in the brand and agency spaces.
• Supporting delivery of existing partnerships, activations & campaigns.
• Working with the department head to explore and develop new business opportunities.
• Creating the strategic response to client briefs with innovative and compelling ideas.
• Negotiating financials and deliverables at contracting stage.
• Co-ordinating with wider Abbey Road team for delivery of brand activations.
• Working closely with Universal teams to co-ordinate content production, events and activations.
• Prospect for new brand & agency partners, proactively taking opportunities out to market.
• Developing relationships with key agencies and brands and build/own a sales pipeline alongside the rest of the team.
• Pitch & present to qualified leads and existing clients.
Person specification:
• Strategic and commercial awareness of both the music industry and brand partnerships.
• Passion for Music and brand storytelling.
• Knowledge of digital & social media space, with an awareness of the role of music, experiential & entertainment plays in this area.
• Solid and proven background in successful account management in terms of scoping, briefing, strategising, negotiating and delivering.
• Excellent all-round account management skills including leading client facing meetings.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships across a variety of internal & external stakeholders.
• Confident to network at industry events and entertain clients.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced presentation skills and excellent IT skills including advanced PowerPoint & Excel.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and ability to prioritize, work to tight deadlines and show initiative.
