DATE: Wednesday, February 21, 2018
POSITION: Marketing & Promotion Representative
REPORTING TO: Director, National Promotion
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maximizing exposure for artists/releases at designated list of radio stations within Central Region.
• Acquiring and maintaining airplay, securing interviews, creating, executing & following through on a variety of on-air promotions.
• Transportation of artists to various interviews and events.
• Co-ordinating backstage ‘meet & greets’ and other on-site functions at concerts, etc.
• Work closely with Region Sales and Marketing staff to fully develop all marketing initiatives and with National Promotion to secure airplay.
• Booking, creating, and monitoring radio advertising at designated list of stations.
• Seeking alternative means of promoting our artists and labels.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Promotions or at a record label or radio station.
• Excellent working knowledge of radio & media, and wide knowledge of musical genres.
• Marketing and Media experience required.
• Great interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook - Excel and Word preferred.
• Excellent organization & priority setting skills.
• Ability to thrive in a hectic, creative environment.
• Ability to problem solve and react quickly in potentially-stressful circumstances.
• Ability to deal with a wide array of personalities & work place situations.
• Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Social media savvy.
