We are currently seeking a Manager, Research & Data Analytics, to run complex queries and analysis on various streaming platforms t o support Artist Insight projects.
Job Functions:
• Your role will be to take broad business questions, develop engaging briefs and translate them into a clearly structured approach.
• Drive projects from start to finish: define the data needed, conduct the analysis and come up with conclusive answers and specific strategic recommendations.
• Explore, analyze and synthesize content consumption data, product data, and market research in order to develop actionable recommendations for the business.
• Package complex data into clear and actionable insights for key stakeholders across the team
• I dentify actionable recommendations for the business and for artists.
• Come up with new ways to look at data, creating new frameworks of data analysis and interpretation for the business. Innovate on an ongoing basis.
• Apply contextual knowledge about artists and the music industry in your commercial data analysis and interpretation.
• Be a trusted data resource for the organization
• Provide insights into user behavior, consumption patterns, content and product performance
• Think big and look for new ways to understand our audiences to estimate and anticipate user behavior and content consumption
• Provide expert analysis on digital trends within the entertainment industry
• Oversee regular reports, dashboards and presentations for editorial and management
• Manage day to day data requests from departments across the organization
• Help define and track progress towards goals for new initiatives
• Oversee ongoing competitive analysis to identify industry trends
• Advocate use of data analytics for decision making across the organization
• Understand and communicate the implications of the changes in the music landscape in the data analysis interpretation.
• Identify opportunities to develop analysis, providing pro-active suggestions and innovating on an ongoing basis
Skills/Abilities:
• Technical competence to perform advanced analytics
• Strong database analytics and data extraction (SQL) skills are essential
• Statistical modeling (R/Python), segmentation building would be a plus
• Deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense
• Ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
• Can translate numerical findings into recommendations
• Team worker, can-do approach.
• Passion for music is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is the rule
Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience of experience in a similar data analyst/strategist role, preferably in an entertainment/ tech company.
Education:
• Degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline is preferred .
