POSITION: Manager , Credit and Collections
REPORTING TO: Senior VP Finance & Admin
The Manager, Credit and Collections is responsible for managing the accounts receivable and collections activities , account set up and maintenance, sundry billing, cash allocation of all trade and non-trade receivables for various divisions , and credit granting within the parameters of a trade global insurance policy, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.
RESPONSIBLITIES: Management• Motivate manage and train AR/ credit off shore team• Manage relations with credit insurance provider• Manage relations with internal business partners• Manage relations with bankruptcy trustees/outside counsel
Credit /AR functions• Set up and m anage customer credit files through insurer• Monitor periodic credit reviews with insurer• Review aging report with off shore team and coordinate collection efforts• Monitor deductions and reconciliation of large trade customers
• Occasionally visit major customers to maintain relations
• Manage billing and collecti on of non-traditional divisions: e Commerce/digital/sponsorships/merchandise/ artists management
• Prepare quarterly bad debt provision schedule• Manage the annual OTC SOX process
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 5 years of credit experience and the ability to manage remote workers • C ertified C redit P rofessional graduate (fundamentals in business/financial accounting/corporate finance/credit management)• SAP FICO experience • AS400
• Excellent Excel skills
• Autonomous – can work independently
• Highly organized
• Good communication skills
• Energetic and assertive
• Good problem solving/ analytical skills
• Can work with tight deadlines and pressure
• Liberal and open minded
