Description
UMG’s Central Brand Partnerships team is looking for a dynamic Manager to cultivate client relationships and bring partner programs to life. The ideal candidate is highly detailed, pro-active, has a knack for problem solving and a “can do” attitude. Experience in event production/experiential activations is a crucial asset for all candidates. Passion for music, entrepreneurial spirit, polished professional demeanor, and the ability to keep calm under pressure are essential.
Job Functions:
Responsibilities
will include, but is not limited to:
• Partner Program management
• Help architect execution of partner programs from live events, content production and hospitality
• Collaborate with teams across UMG to plan and produce all the elements of the program
• Work with all UMG labels on artist conversations
• Work with the content team to build a creative content plan and budget
• Work with legal to draft contracts and handle the conversations correspondence until signature
• Work with UMG PR on all press releases and approvals
• Track all elements of the program and manage timeline to ensure everything runs smoothly
• Coordinate music licensing for any content pieces and livestreams
• Handle all third-party invoices and artist payments related to the program
• Create detailed post analysis reports of partner program
• Manage all elements of concert production, including:
• Hiring local production companies to bring in staging, lighting, audio/PA, backline, and appropriate crew
• Ability to read a backline list and know when it’s simple vs. extensive
• Work with event locations on necessary insurance, permits, and any other rules/laws related to the show
• Build ROS/load in/load out schedule
• Manage the crew and artist teams on the day of the show and ensure everyone stays on schedule
• Handle any last minute on-site needs to ensure smooth event activation
• Manage any creative agencies working on the project/program
• Manage any necessary activation elements (non-performance related), including:
• Printing collateral (posters, pop up banners, menus)
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Must be incredibly resourceful and able to find solutions for all problems (including those that haven’t happened yet)
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of executives, brand clients, and artist teams - in person, on the phone and in writing
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and bring programs in under budget
• Self-starter, will take initiative with new projects
• Professional demeanor and attitude even when under a lot of stress
• Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work well under pressure
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Photoshop skills would be a major plus)
Experience:
• 2 years project/account management experience
• Event production experience
• Activation agency experience a plus
• Passion for music & brands
• Understanding of the agency, brand and entertainment landscape
Education:
• College degree
