Description
UMG Nashville is looking for a Manager, Audience and Revenue Development.
This position is for Sounds Like Nashville, a UMG-affiliated editorial website covering the music, the culture and the lifestyle of Nashville and the country community.
This full-time role based in Nashville is ideal for a candidate who has a head for organization, analytics and numbers, but will bring creative concepts to the table.
UMG Nashville consists of Capitol Records Nashville, EMI Records Nashville, MCA Nashville and Mercury Nashville. Together their roster of artists reads like a who’s who of Music Row stars, including Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, George Strait, Eric Church, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Shania Twain and Vince Gill.
Job Functions:
• Serve as the primary liaison with key internal and external stakeholders: fielding requests, proactively ensuring compliance with agreements, and making suggestions to improve workflow and performance.
• Use audience and revenue data to help inform decisions for the website, and executive sponsor. This includes, but is not limited to: running and interpreting reports on audience patterns and engagement, as well as performance of ad units.
• Manage major site projects, especially those related to revenue generation (for example, ensuring that our Sales partner has the proper assets in order to sell site content and/or event sponsorships).
• Oversee social and email marketing strategies by working with the Editorial Lead to develop email campaigns, as well as implementing a social media voice and cadence, based on analytics and research.
• Proactively providing data-driven recommendations for growing audience and revenue.
• Leading business operations for the site, including working with internal stakeholders to approve agreements, process invoices, and manage accounts receivable.
• Managing all activities related to the ad serving partner.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong understanding of marketing in the digital media space, including audience development / SEO, social media implementation, email marketing, as well as available content channels and the best ways to make use of each.
• Experience in working with one or more analytics tools; Google Analytics certification a plus.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills, and experience successfully managing stakeholders and executives.
• An extremely detail-oriented and proactive attitude with a high level of personal accountability.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and G Suite.
• Experience working with a CMS preferred.
• Excellent teamwork skills, but with an ability to work independently when needed as well.
Experience:
• 3 years working in progressively responsible roles in related roles, including analytics and project management.
Education:
• Bachelors Degree preferred
