The A Side: A Day in The Life
Working with world renowned artists from The Lumineers to Diana Ross and Gregory Porter alongside internationally ground-breaking young artists such as Aurora and Jacob Collier is all in a day's work at Decca Records. Home to icons of pop, classical, jazz, country, Americana and more, Decca Records - synonymous with 60s rock'n'roll - has been defining music of all genres since 1929.
Reporting to Head of Marketing, the Marketing Intern will work closely with the marketing team and assist in all aspects of the marketing process.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Collaborative
• Liaising with Campaign Managers, designer and artist / management to deliver, copy check and facilitate approval of artwork and marketing assets
• Liaising with external suppliers
• Booking ads with inhouse Digital Agency Fused
• Canvass CDR promo quantities from TV, Radio, Press and label
• Co-ordinating showcases with the Campaign/Marketing Managers
• Assisting with organising video shoots and photoshoots where necessary
• Co-ordination of in-stores and other artist sessions
• Assist in, if required, TV and Radio ads
Be Operational
• Initiating new releases with Production at request of Campaign Managers
• Ticket ordering for gigs on behalf of marketing team
• Budgeting in Uniport; including approving quotes, raising POs etc
• Set-up and scheduling of videos/content
• Setting up Play MPEs (digital mail-outs)
• Making sure ad copy is delivered to advertisers, in conjunction with designers and updated in the Fused Digital Media Plan
• Ordering any POS needed e.g., flyers, stickers, posters
Be Administrative
• General administration (invoicing, maintaining shared files, ordering CD stock)
• Arranging travel
• Booking bikes / cabs / couriers
• Taking notes in meetings
Person Specification
Necessary
• Passionate about music
• Experience in a similar role (preferably in Marketing)
• An interest in Digital Marketing and new trends
• The ability to learn quickly
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
• Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
• Flexible and able to prioritise own workload
• Self-motivated with the ability to deal with the routine tasks as well as the more interesting aspects of the role
• Hard working and enthusiastic
• Good IT skills i.e.: Word Packages and Excel
