The A Side: A Day in The Life
Assisting Universal Music UK’s Central Business Affairs team on a broad range of legal and business affairs deals – principally focusing on Recorded Music, Brand Partnerships, TV and Film Production and M&A.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
• Assisting with drafting of various material and ancillary agreements, such as featured artist, video, producer, event hire and brand partnership agreements, as well as general correspondence.
• Handling legal and business affairs related issues across a variety of internal departments.
• Updating relevant internal systems to reflect rights positions and maintaining contracts databases.
• Assisting with corporate / business acquisition related matters, in particular due diligence and contractual analysis exercises.
• General legal, commercial and administrative duties as and when requested.
Person specification
• Bright, outgoing, pro-active individual with keen interest in pursuing a career in the music and entertainment industry.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to multitask demands from across the business.
• Accurate drafting skills and great attention to detail.
• Ability to show own initiative.
• LPC qualification and/or paralegal experience preferable.
• Music or TV and film production experience and a working knowledge of copyright desirable.
