Part Time Unpaid Internship
Description
Job title: Commercial Intern
Responsible to: Commercial Director
Department: Central Sales
Location of work: 4PS Kings Cross
Main purpose of role:
The Commercial Intern will offer support across the Commercial team (both Digital and Physical) . They must be proactive and have excellent attention to detail. They must have good communication skills both written and verbal. They will be working across many different areas of the business with key stakeholders and should therefore be able to work as part of a team and be comfortable using excel and a quick learner with a can- do attitude .
Physical Business Central Support
• Reports
Compile weekly Chairman’s Chart Document .
Liaise with partners to u pdate and distribute the pre-order report weekly .
Update and distribute Competitor’s Schedule on weekly basis.
Compile central release schedules using all available sources.
Compiles partner album performance summaries ahead of labels meetings for reference in each label meeting .
Update weekly Order vs Ship report for new releases and distribute to the sales team .
Produce monthly summary of Retail Marketing spends .
Ad - hoc support for the Commercial Director .
• Sales Marketing Site
Administrate the Sales Marketing Site, by being point of contact for sales note creation in the labels. Also act as point of contact for the Independent team.
Check the Sales Marketing Site weekly for any missing sales notes (4 & 3 weeks upfront) and provide a list of those missing to the Commercial Director each week.
• Additional
Setting up OPD specials where necessary .
Assist with analysis and presentations when needed by the sales team.
Send out product samples to retail contacts .
Campaign Support
• Provide support for the Head of Campaign as below, and on ad - hoc requests.
• Prepare campaign bulletins .
• Check for forthcoming end dates and flag to the Head of Campaign 3 weeks in advance .
• Review International All active sheet in conjunction with the Head of Campaign .
• Make campaign price changes and c heck these changes have gone through the system corr ectly .
• Maintain Campaign Sales Tracker .
Non-Trad Support
• Send out New Release schedules to our Non-Trad partners .
• Complete title set-up forms .
• Point person for dealer price, FSP and set-up queries .
• Coordinate quarterly presentations .
Digital Release Support
• Own Advanced links for labels .
• Manage and Maintain Partner Digital Release Schedules .
• Consolidate long term priority schedule .
• Populating priority sheets (all partners) .
• Work with labels to secure delivery of new music links .
• Run/update data reports for digital partners .
• Co-ordinate Gig calendar management/invites .
• Work with labels on Image/asset management for partners .
Person specification:
• Computer literate, with skills in all Microsoft Office products (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) & Business Objects or similar. Familiarity with Mac OS also an advantage.
• Proactive, self-motivated individual.
• Commercially aware & highly numerate.
• Strong, proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent inter-personal skills, confident dealing with people issues and requesting action.
• Methodical individual with excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Desire to learn new technologies, process, applications.
