Description
The Finance Administrator role supports the finance department with their day-to-day activities as well as to assist in common tasks in other areas such as production and sales.
UMG Nashville consists of Capitol Records Nashville, EMI Records Nashville, MCA Nashville and Mercury Nashville. Together their roster of artists reads like a who’s who of Music Row stars, including Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, George Strait, Eric Church, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Shania Twain and Vince Gill.
Job Functions:
• Finance / Sales Reporting
• Compiling information and distributing daily and monthly reports for sales and finance department including but not limited to daily sales, weekly Soundscan reports to external managers, etc..
• Assist in the compilation of the monthly results book and distribute to key executives within UMGN.
• Finance and Legal Administrative Support
• Assist the COO and other team members in scheduling meetings and providing agendas along with other support as required inclusive of answering the phone, setting up conference calls, and any other administrative objectives that may arise.
• Schedule, plan and coordinate all travel arrangements for the COO and other department heads as needed including the preparation and tracking of expense reports
• Assist various departments in the coding and processing of invoices.
• Production Department Support
• Enter metadata into R2 system for resources/releases (physical/digital products)
• Enter StudioHub metadata/coordinate with production coordinators that credits are accurate and complete
• Gather label copy, PROs, splits from publishers / create spreadsheet for contact information
• Send cover art to content specialist to get uploaded to ASPEN
• Keep schedules updated and distribute
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong organizational skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating many demands and requests with strong problem-solving drive
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience:
• 2 years’ finance or business-related experience
Education:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in finance or business administration preferred
