The A Side: A Day in The Life
This role is unique in that it has commercial, creative, and operations elements. Day to day is varied, fast paced, and often high pressure but always rooted in smart commercial strategy, exceptional fan experience authentic to our artists, and clear communication. There is an always-on approach and play-to-win ethos.
You’ll be running point on all eCommerce initiatives, working hand-in-hand with Marketing, Digital Marketing and CRM to optimise marketing for target products, informing eCommerce activities across the label with support from Central D2C.
You will be central to driving eCommerce to the heart of the label as a critical factor in delivering success for our artists!
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be operational
• Manage Decca and Blue Note superstores proactively driving sales campaigns outside of release schedule
• Set up and help run pop-up stores as part of label events e.g. Blue Note KX pop up
• Run point on all label eCommerce campaigns, including ticketing & live event initiatives
• Optimise ROI of all artist stores with marketing and CRM including upselling and cross selling of artist product
Be collaborative
• Alongside Legal team explore, and Close D2C merch artist deals directly with the artists, looking for opportunities with every artist from developing to established
• Work with International and US store management teams to manage and execute global e-Commerce campaigns
Be analytical
• eComm reporting, analytics and performance & consumer behaviour trends
• Campaign and product analytics to create industry leading best practice, with support from Central D2C Store Manager
• Accountable for campaign successes and pitfalls. Reporting of sales trends and store activity, identifying pitfalls and sharing learnings for future campaigns
Be strategic
• Explore new methods for generating revenue via the artist website/web store via social commerce and 3rd party distributors
Be well-informed
• Chart compliance in all eCommerce campaigns. Comprehensive understanding of OCC rules in order to ensure chart eligibility and workarounds if necessary
• Communicating profit shares with artists where DECCA have merch rights
• Be a true advocate for DECCA eCommerce and communicate the benefits and mechanics of specific campaign strategies and how they can work for each artist
• Be abreast of developments in the e-Commerce area, particularly with regard to other artist store offerings, but in addition, good retailing and store UX outside of the music industry
