The A Side: A Day in The Life
This role will involve assisting the eCommerce department with the day to day management of all of UMG’s ecommerce operations. The assistant role is varied and will require a candidate with strong organisational skills, who can follow best practices and react positively to short-notice requests.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be operational and administrative
• Responsible for updating product offers across Universal Music e-Commerce websites ensuring all data (product/price/weight/dimensions) is accurate and up to date and home and product pages complete.
• Responsible for product data integrity in all e-Commerce systems, to ensure:
• New release products are published on websites in a timely manner.
• All product offer issues are dealt with efficiently.
• Accurate reporting.
• Operational efficiencies for fulfilment and customer service functions.
• Support the Label Account Managers and Label stakeholders to ensure that new stores and products are delivered in line with artist/management requirements.
• Support the Label Account Managers and Website Designer in building and delivering new stores and products using the COPE store building template.
• Supporting store managers with artist specific promotions.
• Support the Website designer in building banners for sites.
• Drive sales through an understanding of the needs of the business and prioritise workload accordingly e.g. Seasonality changes, urgent price changes, urgent product management, urgent data entry.
• Sales analysis reporting for labels, store managers and senior management.
• Communicate product information to the customer service support functions when appropriate.
• Ad hoc supporting of the Operations Manager with stock control, purchase ordering and comms with logistics.
Person specification
Essential
• Proven experience of working under pressure in a calm, efficient and organised manner.
• Excellent track record of working to strict deadlines and maintaining a high standard of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proven computer literacy with a logical approach to system usage.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply developed skills quickly and effectively.
• Genuine interest in the music industry.
Desirable
• Previous experience in e-Commerce
• Music industry or retail/head office experience
• Use of HTML5, Javascript & Photoshop
• Commercial Acumen
• Google Analytics
