The B Side: Skills & Experience
We are looking for a Creative Manager to join Studio Island, our in-house creative division, based at our Kings Cross HQ. You will work alongside the Marketing & Creative Director to concept and create impactful visuals for a diverse range of artists and label initiatives.
Be Collaborative
• Liaising with artists and managers to realise their creative vision
• Working closely with the creative intern to ensure suppliers are paid punctually
• Ensuring our freelance network is diverse and reliable
Be Creative
• Art directing
• Commissioning a broad range of creatives incl. photographers, designers, stylists, videographers
• Research and mood board generation
• Artist/label pitch documents
• Song and album artwork design
• Physical artwork format layouts
• Logo creation
• Merchandise designs
• Artist branding and guideline documents
Be Strategic
• Marketing point of sale
• Advertising assets across multiple formats
• Working with business affairs teams to ensure commissions are paper-worked
Be Financial
• Managing budgets for creative work alongside marketing managers
• Adhering to the Universal Rate Card guidelines when commissioning creatives
• Negotiating fees and terms with creatives
Person specification:
• Fluent in Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Working knowledge of video editing software (Final Cut or similar)
• Able to confidentially communicate ideas and thought processes to people (in our case to artists, the label and contacts)
• Able work in a fast paced, tight turnaround environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Familiar with Trello workflow platform advantageous
• Adhering to deadlines and managing workflow
