Description
UMG is looking for a Consumer Technology Operations, Web Content Coordinator who will coordinate, manage, and update marketing content on high traffic public facing websites. Responsible for consistency with site vision and style guide, while developing understanding of strategies to coordinate content creation. Work with marketing managers, technical staff, and vendors to execute initiatives. Provide digital graphic art production support. The candidate must be familiar with web design and CMS backends with proficient knowledge in HTML/CSS. The candidate must also thrive in a fast paced, multi-project working environment.
Job Functions:
• Create, update, and maintain Web content in content management systems (CMS), monitor, QA testing, content on live site and troubleshoot or escalate
• Proficiency in using the CMS platforms, serving as liaison with stakeholders and technology groups to provide user training and customer support
• Conduct QA testing, follow-up to resolve issues, and load finished material into content management system
• Ability to code and understand CSS and HTML to customize CMS
• Work with multiple team members and performance goals while problem solving and troubleshooting
• Miscellaneous administrative work – reporting, creating documentation, research
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to established standards
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Sketch
• Highly organized with the ability to think quickly and problem-solve
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Self-motivated ability to work with minimal direction
• Independent, creative thinking and decisiveness.
• Understand cross-browser and cross-platform concepts and concerns
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, as well as able to manage simultaneous projects
• Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all departments.
• Maintain a high standard of professional behavior while working under deadline pressure and stressful situations.
• An online portfolio of work samples
Experience:
• At least 1-2 year of professional experience designing for the web
• Professional Music Industry experience
• Knowledge of modern front-end tools like Sass and Gulp
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (particularly Drupal and Magento)
• Familiarity with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with Git
• Basic knowledge of analytics
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
