Your Challenge
As a global lead, you will be managing one of our key streaming partners. Based in our spanking new offices in King’s Cross, you will be the go to person for various labels, executives and our partner. A problem solver, and people magnet, you’ll understand the importance of commercial partnerships and thrive in major event and media settings. As part of our Commercial Affairs department with a close-knit team of 3 peers, you’ll be able to make a real impact on our relationships with our existing partners, and present Universal Music Group as a partner of choice for labels and artists in the world of music.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Build deep relationships internally and externally with digital partner organizations across all functions (at all levels)
• Provide detailed analysis of all potential partners and identify which are top prospects based on UMG’s goals and needs
• Be the key contact for all partner needs, defining and executing on the long-term partner relationship
• Work with the VP of Commercial Partnerships and Senior Management within the Commercial Affairs team to understand business objectives and sales key performance indicators
• Work closely with business analysts within the Commercial Affairs function to assess results, forecast sales and analyze sales data from digital partners to establish trends and drive recommendations to relevant parts of the business
• Drive to identify new product initiatives and business development opportunities within the account and work with internal teams to ensure these opportunities happen
• Review and present the overall performance of the partners on a regular basis
• Negotiate marketing plans and influence partners to meet Universal’s digital marketing objectives.
• Travel may be required to territories to help with their understanding of the digital environment or as part of the maintaining and fostering a better relationship with the digital account
Your Skills and Experience
• Very strong relationship management skills
• Significant working experience within the technology/music/media industry
• A history of strong partnerships and deal negotiation skills with experience in licensing and contracts
• A proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts
• High degree of comfort in senior executive settings
• Healthy self-confidence balanced with humility. Respect for others and the desire to work in a highly collaborative, but sometimes challenging environment
• Ability to remaining calm and positive in an often-pressured environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Flexible and able to juggle multiple projects, must have strong project management, organizational, time management, problem solving, organizational development and analytical skills
• Well organised with the ability to plan and deliver to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communicator, negotiator and presenter
• Proactive approach to work, constantly seeking improvement in all areas
• Excellent IT skills; must be proficient in KeyNote, Word and Excel
