UMG is currently seeking to fill the role of Artist Royalty Projects Specialist. In this role, you will be assisting our artist royalty projects team in preparing and analyzing A&R accounts to ensure that we are accurately reporting royalties to A&R Participants in accordance with the Incentive Plan. You will also be managing the workflow of the A&R Participant assignments while working with Label Executives and Business Affairs. In addition, this Specialist position will work on special projects to innovate and implement new processes for the Artist Royalty department.
This position affords the right candidate exposure to all aspects of royalty reporting and many key players in the business space. The right candidate will have a passion for music and be hungry to learn and grow in the business of music.
Job Functions:
• Create, implement and train on new processes with various special projects
• Collaborate with HR, Label Executives and Business Affairs
• Manage A&R royalty statement processing for issuance and payments
• Resolve daily inquiries from internal and external departments
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize work and meet deadlines is a must
• Capable of working independently as well as on a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Self-motivated
Experience:
• Experience with recording contracts, royalty accounting, TRACs and SAP a plus
Education:
• Four-year college degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
