Description
Job title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Responsible to: AP and AR Manager
Department: UK Central Finance
Location of work: 4 Pancras Square, Kings Cross
The A Side: A Day in The Life
To provide finance & analytical support within the Accounts Payable department and wider Central Finance team. Working closely with our outsourced finance teams to ensure smooth day to day running of invoice processing, master data management and payments. Applying knowledge and initiative to drive efficiencies in the day to day transactional processes and reporting. Developing strong relationships across the UK Group.
The B Side: Skills and Experience
Be Analytical
• To review and perform key supplier statement reconciliations, resolving all open items
• Oversee invoice processing tasks and maintaining process guidelines
• To assist with month end duties and help main the timetable for outsourced team
• Proactive involvement in ongoing Accounts Payable projects
Be Administrative
• Become a key initial point of contact for all internal and external AP queries
• Reviewing and supporting outsourced teams with all “on hold” supplier invoices
• Responsible for reviewing weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy of internal key controls
• Responsible for reviewing vendor creation and changes submitted by outsourced team
Be Operational
• Ensure smooth day to day running of AP tasks
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders across UK labels to maximise workflow and invoice approvals
Person Specification
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (particularly Excel)
• Strong communication skills
• Good organisation of self and others
• Proactive approach
• Attention to detail
• Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced team
