Overview
As part of Universal Music, Decca Music Group have more than 80 years of recording history and an outstanding catalogue. Current DMG stars include Cecilia Bartoli, Nicola Benedetti, Andrea Bocelli, Joseph Calleja, Renée Fleming, Benjamin Grosvenor, Janine Jansen, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Ólafur Arnalds.
An experienced , enthusiastic and motivated indiv idual is required for 12 months within this renowned classical record label. This person will provide general administrative assistance to the busy Decca Classics team and as required by the Managing Director.
Main Purpose
Responsibilities
include , but are not limited to:
• General office support: dealing with telephone/email enquiries and mail, photocopying, CD copying, IT issues couriers and organising meetings , travel & accommodation, diary, contacts, etc
• Support to the A&R team in setting up recordings: booking artists, venues and recording teams, coordinating recording schedules, score & repertoire research
• Processing invoices using Universal's finance system
• Processing contract requests to Decca legal department
• Organising concert tickets
• Ordering complimentary CDs
• Maintaining databases
• Researching and booking travel and accommodation for artists and staff
• Sending masters/hard drives to UMG archive
• Processing demo tape applications
• Assisting team with other ad hoc duties as necessary
Person Specification
E ssential
• Degree (or equivalent) in music or knowledge of classical music
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Computer lite rate (strong Microsoft Word, Excel & Photoshop )
• Ability to be flexible and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work in busy and pressured environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional and personable manner
Desirable
• Work experience within the arts would be an advantage
