UTA, a leading talent agency based in Beverly Hills, CA, is seeking a Coordinator for its UTA Ventures group. UTA Ventures builds and invests in great companies at the intersection of media, talent, product and technology. Through inception to exit, our team builds and acquires businesses at all stages and executes across all different types of business structures. Some of our work includes Chamberlain Coffee with Emma Chamberlain, Houseplant with Seth Rogen, Sienna Naturals with Issa Rae, Anomaly with Priyanka Chopra and many others.
The coordinator will have a love for media, culture, consume the latest brands and be naturally curious. We are looking for a self-starter who can think creatively about market opportunities and will support the broader UTA Ventures team and agents of the Agency on client-facing strategic growth initiatives and new businesses across the media, entertainment and consumer/lifestyle sectors.
What You'll Do
• Administration and Planning. Create and maintain key tracking materials, reporting tools and budgets for the department.
• Conduct Research & Analysis. Understand key industry sectors, KPIs (key performance indicators), trends and news within specific categories identified by the UTA Ventures team,
• Marketplace Coverage / Research & Analysis. Develop and maintain a knowledge base of research and analysis on sectors and business models to scale the efforts of the UTA Ventures team across a wide variety of clients. Oversee and maintain key research tools, data and contacts for the department.
• Ideation. Participate in the ideation and analysis of new business opportunities and investments in key extension areas, including media, technology, licensing & merchandising, consumer products and lifestyle brands.
• Prepare Investor Material and Presentations. Create and communicate presentations, financial analysis and other materials related to key strategic initiatives and industry trends.
• Collaboration. Collaborate effectively with internal teams.
• Portfolio Coverage. Work with portfolio companies to add value, streamline opportunities across the agency and compile ongoing reporting.
• Special Projects. Engage in and advance special projects as needed.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years' experience at an agency, entertainment company, research or consulting firm, fast-growing startup or consumer brand.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word), Google Docs, Slack and Salesforce
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain accountable to deadlines without exceptions
• Extreme attention to detail and strong sense of urgency but calmness in completing tasks
• Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work effectively within a fast-moving startup environment and knowledge/willingness to learn about the business side of traditional & emerging media & entertainment and consumer lifestyle sectors
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Interest in and ability to build relationships across consumer ecosystem
• Team player, proactive, results-oriented, problem-solver, strategic thinker, highly organized, flexible, strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Grit. A self-starter who loves what they do. They never give up. They can think creatively about market opportunities and push hard to achieve their goals.
• Passion. A love for media, culture and talent. They follow creators on social media, consume the latest brands and movies and are naturally curious.
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Can effectively communicate an opportunity or position to a wide variety of stakeholders including executives, agents, talent, managers and lawyers.
• Detailed and Organized. Effectively tracks and follows-up on all facets of the role including key projects.
