United Talent Agency has an immediate opening for a full-time Agent's Assistant at our Los Angeles office focusing on Comedy Touring. UTA's distinctive and world-renowned roster of comic talent is unrivaled in the industry. The ideal candidate has a passion for comedy and live events, has the industry knowledge and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should be enthusiastic, flexible, organized and can multi-task under pressure while providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact with VIP clients and executives
• Heavy phone management – answer and transfer calls, schedule & coordinate conference calls
• Calendar management – daily calendar management; update, cancel and confirm meetings. Scheduling and coordinate meetings, both in-office and offsite
• Expense reports - Prepare monthly reports for review & submit to accounting for approval
• Travel booking and coordination
• Assist with the logistics of live events
• Attend comedy shows
• Research new comedic talent and stay up to date on who's trending
• Track clients and potential clients
• Data entry such as tracking ticket sales and contracts
• Special projects
• Personal assistance as needed
• The ability to work unexpected frequent overtime
Qualifications:
• Preferred but not required BA/BS from an accredited University or College
• Experience booking as part of your University's Campus Events Committee, preferred
• Experience in live events, comedy or the entertainment industry, preferred
• At least 1 year of agency desk experience, preferred
• Administrative experience supporting an executive in a fast-paced environment, preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent phone demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality
• Must be reliable and possess good judgment
• Must be service-minded
• Ability to anticipate needs
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge and passion for all thing's entertainment
• Understanding of UTA's Comedy Roster, a plus
