Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Location: West Hollywood, CA, US
The Financial Analyst is an integral member of United Artists Releasing finance team, working closely with the Manager and Director of Finance to handle the day to day operations. The position involves close interaction with the UAR marketing and distribution teams, and the qualified candidate will have the ability to work with all levels of finance and non-finance staff.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring project cost reports are up to date and reflect accurate view of marketing budgets
• Analyze and reconcile the marketing budgets; keep management appraised as to spending vs. budget and make suggestions as to necessary action
• Review and analyze monthly GL activity to identify any required adjusting entries; including preparing and posting correcting journal entries
• Support Manager and Director with internal/external audit requests
• Support monthly close process and management of prepaid allocations schedule
• Responsible for managing the travel and p-card monthly reconciliations
• Responsible for managing and distributing the Purchase Order Summary reports to teams
• Key point of contact for PO Training
• Key point of contact for resolution of vendor billing concerns in tandem with accounts payable and marketing teams
• Additional ad hoc assignments
Desired Characteristics:
• Good working knowledge of Financial Systems
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with ability to explain finance to ''non-finance'' individuals
• Keen eye for data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to deal with conflicts in a cross functional environment
• Ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency with deadlines
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in a start-up environment or high-volume finance or accounting department; Entertainment industry experience a plus.
