What does our department do?
GTO Strategic Products team provides a strategic point of view that identifies opportunities, standards, and services to advance WarnerMedia's Digital Portfolio, and offers guidance to assist with distribution deals, while providing technical consulting services to support various WarnerMedia Digital initiatives. The team is responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth, assessing potential enterprise solutions and contributing to the advancement of WarnerMedia's business development strategies.
What will you be doing?
New Product Assessment:
• Proactively identify and areas of opportunity & risk
• Responsible for conducting market research to assess trends and growth opportunities
• Access WarnerMedia Digital Product Portfolio across multiple platforms and identify gaps/future opportunity
• Analyze and present hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts
Roadmap & Product Portfolio Management:
• Support strategic products priorities, which includes identifying and prioritizing product growth opportunities in tandem with management
• Maintain a product and feature roadmap for Perk properties, managing prioritization and capacity planning
Product Development:
• Write, define, and present product requirements driven by user insights, with input from internal stakeholders
• Help drive the creation and execution of innovative product concepts with designers, engineers, and internal stakeholders
• Drive usability testing, measure and report results and define areas for constant enhancement and optimization for the end-to-end user experience
• Validate new product enhancements to ensure it aligns with product requirements and usability goals
• P roduce wireframes to support strategic product initiatives
• Develop a deep understanding of the product/business vision and independently run with initiatives based on that understanding
What do we require from you?
Minimum Requirements:
• Collegiate student who is majoring in Computer Science, Business, or Information Systems
• Strong problem-solving skills, organized, and astute attention to detail
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with account executives, customers and internal teams
• Evaluate and document industry trends
• Gap analysis expertise
• Results-driven and highly self-motivated
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work on several time-sensitive deliverables
• Ability to apply an expert understanding of business issues and the impact to technology and business
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, documentation and processes
Desired Experience:
• Advanced experience using Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with iOS and/or Android mobile operating systems
• Skilled user of Photo Editing Software such as Adobe Photoshop
• Comprehensive researching skills
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong tolerance for ambiguity
• Strong ability to multi-task and adjusts priorities
• Submit weekly progress reports

Internship dates are January 21, 2020 – May 8, 2020. All interns are expected to work 20 hours per week and paid competitively based on location (relocation is not provided). Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students. Candidates must be qualified and available to work at the time the application is submitted. Full-time employment is not guaranteed at the end of the program.
