Team Coco Scripted Podcast Production Manager
Team Coco is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Scripted Podcast Production Manager. Team Coco has already created several successful podcasts including Frontier Tween and Smartr. The Scripted Podcast Production Manager will work with the Creative Director, COO, and the Executive Producer to expand an existing slate of scripted podcasts, which will feature a wide range of voices and formats.
Candidates will demonstrate a passion for comedy and enjoy working with talent and writers in a fast-paced, friendly, startup environment. A strong candidate will have 2 years of experience in audio content development and/or production for TV or live events. Candidates will execute the day-to-day coordination and production of the series, work closely with talent and their teams, and communicate with multiple Team Coco departments to ensure the successful completion and launch of scripted shows. Responsibilities include managing the production against the budget, sourcing production services, and managing the casting process. We're looking for someone who has an ear for good audio, superb comic judgment, great people skills, and a love for the big and small details that make for excellent storytelling. With a battery of projects already in progress and more in the pipeline, the Scripted Podcast Production Manager will be elemental in overseeing and shaping new series from pre-production to launch.
The Daily
• Work with the creative team to ensure that all Team Coco shows are original, highly entertaining, produced to a high professional standard, and commercially viable.
• Ensure that all Team Coco shows are produced and distributed on time and on budget, providing the best possible service to the audience, the talent, and any production and business partners.
• Track the production budget at all stages of production, and flag any potential issues or changes.
• Organize and set up writer's rooms, including locating the physical space and working closely with our legal team to process talent contracts.
• Supervise scripts, including breaking down scripting down into manageable day-to-day sections for our actors and tracking revisions
• Scout the most talented new and established writers and comedians and bring them to our studio
• Coordinate studio sessions to ensure talent have a great experience recording with us
• Work with Team Coco teams to support opportunities for cross promotion both within and outside of the network, including utilizing live shows and merchandising to increase visibility.
• Collaborate closely with marketing teams to increase awareness of Team Coco content and talent.
The Essentials
• 2 years of experience in audio content development and/or production for podcasts, radio, TV or live events
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong preference for candidates experienced in working in the comedy genre.
• Experience working collaboratively with creative and editorial talent
• Understanding of emerging, digital-first media models
• A passion for creating excellent, entertaining content
• Must be creative, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to multi-task
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet all deadlines and work independently
