Qualifications: Minimum 6 years media research experience with heavy emphasis on digital media research and/or web analytics experience. This position requires both strategic and tactical skill sets, with a strong command of online media and a solid understanding of traditional media and market research. Experience with and a strong understanding of data/systems from syndicated research providers (e.g. Nielsen Media, comScore) as well as a strong understanding of HTML, FLASH and Dynamic tagging solutions, data/systems, direct web measurement technologies/website analytics (e.g. Omniture, Visual Sciences, WebTrends) and ad serving platforms (e.g. DART). Knowledgeable of technology and media trends. Proficient in statistics and data modeling, with a solid working knowledge of profiling and segmentation analysis. Mastery of extracting and manipulating data from research software systems. Bachelors in Science/Arts in Psychology / Business / Statistics / Math / Communications or related field required.
Duties: Strategic Research & Audience Analysis is seeking a Web Analytics Specialist, Measurement Sciences & Web Analytics to be involved in the future of digital measurement for some of the most powerful media brands. Be a part of a central team working to shape companywide and industry standards for measuring and reporting across digital platforms, and be active in identifying, evaluating and coordinating implementation of measurement solutions for new digital content applications, impacting businesses Turner-wide.
Opportunity and Key Responsibilities:
Turner Corporate Digital Research & Analytics works to position our company for the future, solving new and emerging methodology, data, measurement and reporting challenges that will affect our businesses in a significant way in the near, and more distant, future. It is the hub for online and mobile measurement and reporting expertise, and facilitates education, training and sharing of best practices across Turner Research. Corporate Digital Research provides oversight and governance to ensure Turner Broadcasting employs quality measurement and has accurate and actionable data. The Web Analytics Specialist, Measurement Sciences & Web Analytics oversees measurement science, metrics and accountability for the online sector. The Web Analytics Specialist provides research vendor feedback to improve our Web Analytics vendors products (e.g. Omniture) and vets the growing list of other companies that Turner brands and businesses are considering adopting to understand Internet consumption. Focus includes: Web Analytics Implementation, Audience Data Best Practices and Web Analytics measurement science. The Specialist, Measurement Sciences & Web Analytics is responsible for the day to day management of Audience Data Best Practices (ADBP) across Turner worldwide. This manager works hand-in-hand with AMPT Strategic Implementation Consultants to lead the implementation, evaluation, and approval of new and existing measurement solutions, including alpha, beta and test trials. Additionally, the Web Analytics Specialist produces ad hoc custom analyses from a variety of data sources focused on emerging digital media trends for internal clients -- these internal clients and partners include: AMPT, Corporate Strategic Planning, Turner Business Development, Corporate Publicity, Finance, Executive Management and the digital brands. The Web Analytics Specialist, Measurement Science & Web Analytics reports to the Director of Digital Research & Analytics and mentors junior staff members.
