Tunnel Post is a boutique post-production studio on the Westside, currently under expansion. In the last six months, Tunnel moved to a new facility, more than tripling its size. With four feature films in production and editorial, Tunnel is looking to expand its in-house editorial staff.
The right candidate will not only be a creative asset to the company, but will also be able to provide technical skills / support, and ultimately service clients with the utmost care and professionalism, including Producers, Directors, and Offline Editors.
Tunnel’s client base includes everyone from independent producers, to multi-million dollar feature and major Studios. Even though we are based in Santa Monica, Tunnel services a number of clients from Latin/South America as well as Asia. Bi-lingual candidates shall receive special consideration.

Responsibilities:
• Edit video elements including: raw interviews, produced video, still photos and video highlights, audio and graphics.
• Online/Conform video editorial of digital footage (especially R3D files) using Final Cut Pro or Nucoda Filmmaster
• Encode and export video in multiple formats for delivery on multiple platforms.
• Prep EDLs (Edit Decision List) and 35mm film scanning
• Video Mastering, including HD and SD tape laybacks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) directly related to media production
• Full knowledge of Final Cut Pro
• Experience with scanner/Ditto system needed.
• Basic knowledge of the Nucoda Filmmaster
• Basic knowledge of Film Recording technology
• Experience with MTI Correct Software for Digital Restoration a plus
• Advanced knowledge of video production process from start to finish – shooting, editing, encoding and delivery
• Experience with After Effect, Sound Track Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Compressor preferred.
