TuneCore is looking for a self-motivated individual looking for a unique opportunity in the world of sync. As Manager, Sync you will be responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with clients in the US market as well as leading creative pitches and licensing work for TuneCore and Believe catalogues in the US.
A passion for and knowledge of a wide variety of music is essential, as is an existing network of clients and an ability to work autonomously.
Job Role
Reporting to the head of publishing this position will work to increase revenue from synchronization and master use licensing activities. You will handle day-to-day sync activity - including creative and license negotiations - whilst continuously seeking new business opportunities.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Pitch the TuneCore and Believe catalogues to the film, television, gaming and advertising communities
• Build, develop and maintain relations with various industry gatekeepers and stake holders in order to secure master use and synchronization placements on behalf of TuneCore and it's parent company, Believe
• Facilitate and negotiate licensing deals across film, television and other media verticals for TuneCore repertoire
• Provide creative music pitches to clients/potential clients
• Maintain information regarding licensing deals
• Attend industry events with travel as required
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in creative licensing and music publishing either at a label, publishing company or through a music supervision role elsewhere.
• An outstanding knowledge of, and passion for, independent music across a wide spectrum of genres; including UK and European artists and trends
• A creative mind which is willing and able to answer music briefs openly and thoroughly
• Excellent communication and networking skills - you must be confident meeting new people and seeking new business opportunities, as well as dealing with artists and managers on a day-to-day basis.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. You must be able to meet short and long term targets whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of work
• Provable track record of closing deals
• Must have extensive network of contacts within the music supervision and creative licensing communities
• In-depth understanding of music licensing
• Knowledge of copyright as it relates to the music industry (on both the master and publishing side)
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, organized, timely and accurate
